Asimov on Sci Fi

Many years ago in HS I took a class on Science Fiction, there was a definition offered written by Dr. Isaac Asimov that I haven't been able to track down yet. It talked about SF needing to be plausible, the science had to be relevant to the story (could you tell the story without it), and some other things.

Anyone else have some info on this?
